Mark was a big man in many ways. Let's just say he tipped the scales, but his heart and kindness knew no measure. He lovingly started building his wife Cathy a potting shed, but somehow it turned into a bar that he christened "the Kabooza". He built it and we came. Mark held court at the Kabooza and soon enough we started calling ourselves the "the Kabooza cruisers".

Mark recently retired from the roads department of Tiny. He knew and loved all the little back roads in the township, and that is why he was the "leader of the pack". He led us on winding roads, through obscure little hamlets, into beautiful valleys and to picturesque hilltops. He had an uncanny ability to gauge our journeys so that we would be back at the Kabooza by 4:00pm just as the beer reached its ultimate temperature. Soon enough we realized that all roads led to the Kabooza.

There was more to Mark than met the eye. He was humble and caring and always first to offer a helping hand to those in need. Sometimes we would finish a ride and Mark would ask if we had noticed "the antique bikes under the tarp behind the red barn", which of course we hadn't, but Mark was very observant. He was also very funny, quick witted and had an arsenal of humorous sayings for every occasion.

Cathy and Mark, and their son Lucas very generously opened their door and their hearts, and had a place at their table for so many friends and neighbours in the community. We miss you buddy. Ride on.
