I have a 19" Dunlop rim that needs re-plating. I'm trying to decide between replacement and a fresh dip in chrome. Can anyone recommend a good plating resource in the GTA?

I have used the Plating House , and they did a nice job, but very expensive.

    Sorry can't remember price.

I have a Plating House front rim on my '68 bonneville (still under resto) and a Central Wheels  rear rim (walridge sells them) side by side you can tell the plating house chrome is nicer, but on the bike, not really.

you also get a nice new rim (as compared to 40 year old steel)

Central Wheel now has a "Elite" series which is i guess for top resto's?

While i was at The Barber Motorsport Museum i would say the majority of british bikes had the Central Rims (not the Elite, as this was before that line came out) and they looked fantastic.

If i had known better i would have bought both rims from Walridge

ps, they are always in stock for your bike on sale NOW for $139

Gentlemen, Good tips. I've called around and asked for estimates. The least expensive was $300 and the most "$700 minimum" so I've gone the Walridge's route as well. The rim is a wm3 which is not in stock, but Mike is looking after me. Thank you for the advice. Now I'm off to make the old rim into an end table, or something.
