A little off topic, but still vintage.

Also, in my shed is a small collection of Cockshutte 35 Deluxe, International W400, JD AR,  Massey 35.    My lawn tractor that I actually use is a JD 265, late '80's with a single cylinder Kawasaki.   Fantastic work horse.

    Hey, Frank, Ros

It is good to see someone else that enjoys the old machines.  I laugh when I see these newer lawn tractors with '21' HP; like mine that hasn't the power to back up a small hill in my yard.  Yet I had (have in pieces now) a mid '50's Bolens tractor with 2.5 HP that could carry the driver and had a single furrow plow.  Unstoppable!

    Nice job Frank,

So many of these old machines end up as scrap. (Like the Gold Wing i rescued from Prince Edward County)

Did the sellers wife want it back so she can use it?

Question: how do you find these old machines?

... and, just rescued another. Seller's wife wanted to keep it as a lawn ornament. Oil change, oil filter, carb disassembled and cleaned, new throttle and choke cables, and it runs.

    Hello Frank,

Interesting side hobby working on farm equipment.

Not sure if you know already the HCEA has a show in October. Serious heavy duty machines displayed in working condition.

I led a ride there last year and may do so again.

I love vintage mechanical gear made back in the day when cast iron was used over plate steel. I've rescued many TroyBilt Hores rototillers, cleaned/fixed and found new homes for them. At one point I had 3 of them at once.

There's another piece of machinery that fits this bill for me, and that is Gravely walk behind tractors. This is my first one and probably not the last.
