    Thanks so far boys!
So things like "tank ready" and muriatic acid will take the old, peeling tank lining out???
Do you think i can do the inside without screwing the outside of the tank??

Cleaning & sealing  , is all about following the steps closely ...
1> Clean  . I like MURIATIC acid [ believe that's hydrochloric ] . Used by pool companies & roofers to clean metal [ Try it on some rusty tools first , to see how it works . Soak as long as you like .]...Available at most hardware stores & Canadian Tire .
2> Rinse with lots of  water .
3> ***THIS ONE IS MOST IMPORTANT ***. Rinse with ACETONE ...IMMEDIATELY  after water rinse [ this removes all water  vapour ]  & blow dry with air , OR you will get flash rust .
4> SEAL ...Pour it in . Swish it around . Pour out excess . Let cure [ the warmer it is the faster it cures ] ..
......Be careful with all chemicals , Keep away from Flame , be well ventillated . Have emergency supplies & plenty of water handy ...If you don't feel confident , let someone else do it ....Good Luck ...
