Last Rides
Ed Liu 1959-2020
It is with great sadness that I inform fellow CVMG members of the passing of Ed Liu on August 31st after a gallant battle with cancer. He was a constant regular at our Great Pine Ridge breakfasts and rides, always with a smile and a joke.
I first met Ed over twenty years ago when we used to gather at the Ringwood Restaurant. He offered to buy my CB750 Café Racer but I declined to sell it, subsequently, helping him to build his own and so our friendship began.
Ed was a very successful self-made man, who excelled at everything he turned his hand to. Whether building motorcycles or condos, his goal was always perfection. He always had the coolest toys (motorcycles, cars, guitars) and was extremely generous sharing them with his friends. Our bond grew as we attended USCRA Moto Giro’s in the USA, as well as Mid-Ohio and of course Paris. We shared many long enjoyable drives to these venues often philosophizing about life. He was a talented rider, excellent restorer and a very good friend.
He will be greatly missed by friends, family and all who came to know him.
Gods Speed, Ed.
