    Rick Koudys - Last Ride

I had written in our Section report for the March issue, and posted on the CVMG Face Book page, that our long-time member, Rick Koudys went missing last December 28th. The very sad news was received March 27ththat his body had been found. It’s not bad enough when someone close dies expectedly or not, but it’s must have been just terrible for Rick’s family not knowing where he went or what happened to him. The sad news received March 27 at least gave them a sense of closure and some relief for their minds.

Rick was a member of the Niagara Peninsula Section for several decades and was one of the original members; he had a large collection of vintage, rare, and exotic bikes. His profile in the CVMG webpage states: ‘Restorations. Pre-1940 Machines’.

Several of our members will be helping Rick’s family with his collections.

He was also an avid collector of antiques and old bicycles and was a long time member of the Niagara Antique Power Association and the Wheelmen Cycling Club.

Rick will be remembered by his immediate and extensive family members and all else who knew him.
