Dear folks:

I’ve got a 1980 GS850G that I am really enjoying and I have finally reached the point where I would trust it on a longer trip - so, I’m searching for some hard bags (Vetter etc.) and the correct bracketry in which to “pack my trash” for a weekend away.

I’d also love to score a luggage rack (the kind that mounts on the rear shock studs and points aft).

I had a rear rack on my ‘79 GS850G when I was a boy but that bike was sold long ago.

Above is my ‘79 GS850G - with the type of rear rack I am looking for. BTW - that was real “sport touring” - 1980s style!
